Join members of the McHenry County Progressives in this 3rd annual Labor Day celebration from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, September 4 in the historic Woodstock Square. This is Labor Day as it was intended!
We are proud to host dynamic speakers from Labor, local historians and candidates who are committed to defending the rights of working families here and across the state. Join Emmy award winning story teller Jim May, with State Representative Terry Link, Local Mechanics Union representative Wally Emerson, AFL-CIO member Brian DuPuis, AFSCME member Carols Acosta and many others.
Live the day as our grandparents and great-grandparents intended – in celebration of the victories won and a focus on those we are still fighting today. We are so proud of the very special role Woodstock, IL has in the very beginnings of the labor movement and the national holiday itself. Come mark this occasion where it all began – in Woodstock, IL!
